by Alex McMillan Boyle

If you want your website to work well with search engines, then you must ensure that your web designer knows about how search engines work and knows how he should write your site so as to ensure it ranks as well as possible over time.

A business website should act as another member of its sales team, bringing in leads to your business to then be converted into sales. The job of a website is to appear in the path of traffic that are looking for the services your company provides and to then convert that traffic into a sale, an enquiry or at least a sign up to the newsletter.

List building is an important sales aspect, but the main purpose of your site is to sell your company’s product or service. The primary call to action on your site is to do exactly that, sell what you sell. However if the lead decides not to buy what you want to sell them, you should then ask them to sign up to your newsletter.

Basic web design is also very important. So often we see sites that look visually fantastic, but due to being designed as one piece of flash, are totally unsuitable to be optimized. Effective search engine optimization relies upon many on page factors being present. The basics of the search engines operation depends upon the search engine being able to read your page. A search engine can only read the words that you place on the page, if you want to rank for Fish tank but the words do not appear anywhere on your page, how can you expect a computer to know that is what you wish to rank for?

There are over 100 on-page factors that search engines look at to determine what keywords to rank you for and each factor adds extra weight to how dedicated your site is to that keyword. Badly made sites are diluted with many keywords only written once, and so search engines often do not rank them well. Site building software like Joomla is usually very limited in what you can tweak to make your site readable to a search engine.

If you are serious about getting to the top of a search engine ranking to get the most from your site, then it is important to do some research of your own into SEO first before you commit to paying thousands of pounds for a website to ensure that you dont end up with something that will never perform well in search engines.

A lot of web designers are still fairly ignorant to SEO and so continue to design and deliver websites that are never going to make anyone any money.

by John Drunes

If you want to make more revenue with Google Adsense you Have to read these several key points:

Traffic is the main point if you want to make money online. If your website has a lot of traffic, you can make from it a lot of money!

Visitors can be attracted to you website by good quality content. So you can hire some writers to write a content for you website. Also you can learn more about SEO (search engine optimisation) which can help you to rank very well in search engines. And most important of all is to have well written META and TITLE tags – it is the main things which tells search engines what is you website about.

Great tip to make more money online with Adsense is to have ads with very well paid keywords. That means that for one click you can get 5 dollars instead of 0.05$. Have you thought about that? Such keywords can be for example “Car Rental” or “Car Insurrance”.

Google Adsense displays advertisements related to your website content. But if you content has only several keywords, Adsense won’t find them and it will not show content related ads. Because of that, visitors won’t be interested in your ads and they won’t click on them! TO prevent this, you have to have on your content distinguished or a lot of main keywords.

The location of Adsense ads on the website means really a lot! Ad in good location can get 3 times more click them in a bad place!

I suggest that you use Google’s created tool for placing ads on your website. Also i suggest to experiment with that tool to get better results.

There are several good paid keywords to help you to make money online, which are sponsored by big solid companies, and these companies pay for a click really a lot. So if you want such keywords to have on your site, you have to have these keywords related content: Mesothelioma $ 84.08, mesothelioma attorneys $ 80.93, Mesothelioma lawyers $ 69.04, malignant pleural mesothelioma $ 55.95, Asbestos Cancer $ 54.17, Mesothelioma Symptoms $ 53.66, peritoneal mesothelioma $ 52.27, Trans Union $ 51.91.

by Finbar Minstrel

Search engine optimization is not as some would make you think, one of the dark arts. Each search engine has to use that data available to it to rank each site that it has in its listings.

The way they achieve this is really based on two key things, how your page looks to them, combined with all the information that they can gather about your site from all around the Web. They basically gather this information together as a popularity contest in that the way they rank you in their results is based on how many links there are all over the Web from other sites, pointing at yours. The site with the most links, basically wins.

It’s actually far more complicated than that, but that’s the general gist of it. The reason it’s far more complicated is because links are not all worth the same. The value of a link can depend on several factors, like the PR (pagerank) of a particular site or page, the title of the site or page, the subtitles on the page, the actual clickable text of your link, whether or not you link back to them etc. there are far too many factors to list here, but there are a few.

It is an achievable feat to be ranked higher that a site with 4000 links with only 400-500 links pointing at your website, as long as they are better links based on the criteria of that search engine’s algorithm. As these search engines become more and more complex, the link quality criteria is getting stricter and stricter.

Ideally, your backlink (the link pointing to your page from another site) should meet the following criteria; the site that the link is on should have a related topic to your site, on a page that has a title that’s similar to your keyword, th actual clickable text of your link needs to be the keyword that you want to be ranked for (this is crucial).

If you can get these links without having to link back to the site with the link on it then so much the better as it would then be a one way link that you had which is considered far more powerful than a reciprocal link where you link to each other.

As the algorithm of the major search engines gets more and more complex, they develop things like trip-filters for if a website gets too many links that all say the same thing (they will penalise this) so you want to change the anchor (clickable) text that you’re using around every fifty links or so.

Only add 100 links per month max to stay within the search engines strict guidelines, if they are quality links as I have suggested they will be doing your site lots of good in a short period of time so be patient always.

If you are trying to make money online, then you will need to promote a website, whether you own the URL of that site or whether it is an affiliate link is not important

by Owen Jones

If you are trying to make money online, then you will need to promote a website, whether you own the URL of that site or whether it is an affiliate link is not important.

Whether you own the site or not, the problem remains the same – how do you get enough interested visitors to your site, so that, if they like your product and can afford it, they will have a chance to buy it, before they get bored and move on.

This is the largest common problem that every single Internet marketer has, and it is called attracting targeted traffic, getting relevant visitors or something similar. All the phrases come to the same thing ultimately. If no one sees your product they cannot buy it or if your visitors are mainly young people interested in tennis, it is no good trying to sell them bird cages.

So, obviously you need as many visitors to your website, who are interested in your product, as you can handle. This means that you need to be highly ranked in the search engines so that people can find your site. The biggest and most often-used search engine is Google. So, how do you get your site ranked highly in Google?

There are thousands of books on this subject, but without exception, the serious ones come to the same conclusion, unless they were written by self-interested safe-list or traffic exchange owners. And that conclusion is that you need links to your site.

Very few people will honestly admit to knowing how Google ranks sites, but most people agree that the more sites linking to your site the better. This has lead some webmasters to try exchanging links with each other. It sounds an easy way to get links but Google can recognize reciprocal links. The best links are one-way links, because it demonstrates that someone values your site enough to want to be associated with it. These are called back links.

Therefore, the real problem is how to get enough back links to your site to persuade Google (and the others) that you run an important enough site to rank it highly for your chosen keywords, which should be relevant to the content of your site. How do you do that?

There are several strategies you can use such as traffic exchanges, safelists, FFAs, forums and writing articles, but to be honest, the first three of these are a total waste of time. I used to own a safelist and have wasted many thousands of hours on traffic exchanges. Posting to forums can be useful, but then ONLY if the link on your post is a follow link. If it is not, it doesnt do any good at all and most are no follow links. This means that you have to do some research to find the forums where your post is worth placing (more on this later). That leaves writing articles as the ONLY sure way to get rock-solid back-links to your site based on your site’s relevant keywords.

So, you write an article on a subject relevant to your site stuffed (but not over-stuffed) with relevant keywords but then what do you do? Thats easy! You search Google for article directories, lists and blogs; sign up to a couple of dozen of the relevant ones or in the related categories and post your article to them.

And that is the way to get the sort of links to get your site highly ranked, so that people can find you and have a chance to buy what you are selling. The only catch is that Google will expect to see new links appearing on the Internet on a regular basis, which means writing and posting time after time after time after time ad infinitum. Or does it?

Unfortunately, yes, it does! But the process can be automated and automation is the key to online success. Set up a proven, successful process and let it run ” day and night: all day and all night! I use a system that helps me turn an article into thousands of variations and posts them to thousands of search engines, directories, lists and websites, creating literally thousands of back-links!

These variations are not spun! (The industry standard way of creating variations is to use spinning software to substitute synonyms eg quickly for fast in a random way. This works to a certain degree but can produce gibberish too). The system I use does not employ this method, but still produces thousands or variants. Then it sends them to article directories and blogs. Thousands of them. In fact today, there are over 11,000 sites on their list and the list is kept fresh on a monthly basis. Most similar lists are not well maintained as it is very time-consuming and so contain many dead links.

This system takes your article, creates thousands of variations and then posts them to thousands of sites. All with your sites link in the by-line, which is also variable. But not only that! It only posts your article to lists and categories that deal with sites like yours (based on your chosen keywords) and posts according to a schedule chosen by you: ie 10, 20, 50, 100, 1,000 posts a day, starting on any future date you choose! So, for example, you could write three articles and have the first one go out starting the next day at 150 a day; the second one starting after seven days at 150 sites a day; and the third starting after two weeks at a rate of 75 sites a day.

That would give your site at least 3,000 links in a month or 100 a day ” all for 2-3 hours work! If you wrote one article a day (an hours work) and it got posted to only 1,000 relevant sites, you would have 30,000 relevant links in a month. And that does not include the bloggers, ezine publishers and webmasters who paste your article into their publication with your link. You could easily end up with 40-50k links. But it doesnt even stop there, because the article will be live for years and years, quietly beavering away at getting you noticed by the search engines and the people searching them. How many sales could that get you?

If you want to see an example of this systems output, you have just read one ” this article and if you would like to find out more, follow the link in my by-line attached to it.

You can give your website traffic a shot in the arm today. Pay per click is an option that is evident and plain, so we should consider some means that are free of cost to improve your traffic. Blogging is the most obvious example and if you don’t already own a blog you can set one up today for zero cost. Write a post or posts with keywords involving your issue and then make use of the ping services to publicize them. These services will broadcast your link to many blog directories and sites. The more you pursue it the more will your website traffic be but you will get results instantly.

Post on Forums – there is a forum out there for most subjects and you can usually register for free. Keeping your keyword in mind search on Google and the word forum and than look at what you find, this way you could locate some meaningful forums. To generate awareness about your site and get people to check it out for free and on the same day, write tangible and realistic posts, offer meaningful assistance and advice and comment on sought after issues as direct promotion is not allowed.

Article writing – while some of the finer article directories evaluate your article to assess the quality before posting, others do not and this results in your getting to view an article linked to your site on the same day. Others take it to put it up on their site with your author data at the bottom showing a link to your site.

Digg it – Digg is a great site for posting small snippets or synopsis of your blog post, article post or matter from your web site. It appears soon on their on their illustrious and top-line pages as it offers a powerful assistance to increase your website traffic.

Email your list – it is incredible that you do not have a list yet! The astounding fact is that lots of people on the web have not done anything to make their own email list. The benefit of having a list is that you can prepare a series of messages for them or send email announcements asking them to visit your site for special offers or solutions which will instantly increase your website traffic.

Joint venture may sometimes succeed in a day but not at another time. If you receive a bulletin from another website which suits your needs, then why not see if you can offer something of advantage to them and their customers as a means of reciprocation. Preferably this would be something you would do to offer some value – a free report, a product to sell and you would share the profits with the list owner. Some even claim to have thousands of names on their lists so that they may expedite the amount of traffic to their web site.
