At JumpStart we continually develop new websites for up and coming businesses throughout Ireland and abroad. Quite simply having a website is not just a nice to have anymore; it’s an essential aspect of the whole marketing process. One of the first questions I usually get asked is “I want a new website for my business where should I start?” I think many people get overwhelmed with the thought of having to get a website designed for their new or existing business, especially if they are not savvy with the web and the latest technologies out there.

Where would my client begin in developing their website? The first and foremost to be considered is the logo development. Logo symbolizes the company and provides an image nothing else can provide and this is what we have in mind in the design process and the starting point of the web design. It is one of the many important elements for many businesses. Start-ups are easier to develop because we basically begin with nothing. Therefore, we can offer a variety of options when it comes to design and concepts, while in existing business, we have to modify what they already have.

For some reason existing companies are reluctant to change, and this more so with revamping their logo, I find it hard to accept that a company will invest thousands in a new website but will not entertain having their logo re-touched. The logo doesn’t have to change dramatically but a tweak here and there wouldn’t hurt at all. Consider Apple, Coca-Cola, TodayFM they have no problem tweaking their logos from time to time! Ok rant over so where was I? Oh yes a good logo can dictate how your entire web presence can feel. There are three main aspects to developing a striking logo, the Name, the colors, the tagline.

Keywords are necessary in choosing a name for your business. For example if you own a pet grooming service instead of calling it something fancy like “Canine Makeover”, name it, “Pete’s Pet Grooming Service”. It will work far better when you purchase a domain name if you use words describing what the company really does and have your keyword/keywords in it. During the SEO (Search Engine Optimization), which is a vital part of the overall process of web marketing, having keywords in your domain name will assist you attain a high ranking on Google that would enable more people to click on and view your website. Search engine optimization is the next step after web designing and development. (If you require SEO services click here to contact us now).

The colors would represent the mood or the theme of your website. One to three colors are ideal because more than that will give confusion and strain to the viewers. They would have a hard time focusing on the given information. Too much color destroys the focus of your message.

A tagline is very important, If your company name does not describe what your company actually does then a good tagline is advisable to convey your products or services to prospective clients. Some companies are known a lot more because of their taglines. Creating an effective tagline is a must for start-ups to be remembered easily. It is another way to gain popularity. These are among the famous examples:

A logo is the first visual image that anybody is going to have of a company. It represents everything the brand stands for that can help you with the overall web design process of your website. The main points to be taken into account in creating a logo would be the name, the Color, and the Tagline. At Jump Start, we specialize in logo development. We have the right ideas to match what your company wants to convey to the audience. We got what it takes to make maximize the business potential of your website.

Have you ever ceased to observe that your particular video marketing strategies and activities may not be paying off, or getting your expected outcome? Thus, you are spending a good fortune on marketing booths, exhibits, brochures, leaflets and the like but still your customer data source has not improved? Maybe you have stopped to consider what are you doing wrong? What is it that you are lacking?

You might have a pool of right-brain creative people in your marketing crew, producing impressive brochures and coming up with great exhibit ideas, but do they possess the left-brain logical individuals for a greater comprehension of the statistics and trends in the modern-day information and tech-savvy market? I suppose not.

This is the common reason why most companies spend precious time, money and energy on ineffective marketing strategies and activities-they do not have the right individuals for comprehending the industry.

Yes, they have the creative people but that’s not good enough to generate the result your business is aiming for. All these very creative people of yours may possibly be wasting their creative expertise since it is not well-aimed at the target. Luckily, more and more businesses are acknowledging this mistake and so they are now outsourcing their marketing needs for a more focused and productive advertising endeavors.

The trend started with outsourcing just a section of the marketing operation, which is the advertising. Now, companies are already outsourcing the more nitty-gritty marketing tasks such as client analytics, lead administration and direct-mail supervision.

What used to be basic marketing tasks have now been recognized as rather important factors that can significantly help boost marketing success.

Marketing outsourcing businesses have acknowledged this significance and have focused entirely on producing professionals in these fields so that they could very well provide the best service to their customers. And so, these days, services for these seemingly mundane but very important marketing tasks, can be outsourced for better results.

And a lot of companies are realizing the sense in the concept. A recent survey noted that 53% of interviewed advertising executives are actually aiming to outsource their advertising and marketing needs. They now understand that outsourcing advertising activities will save the firm marketing cost, while at the same time generating much better quality work that produces the result they desired.

Additionally, they see now that mass marketing is no longer effective for attaining more potential customers since nowadays, interaction has become more complicated than in the past, as a result, it needs expertise on computer aided evaluation. And this is what marketing outsourcing business companies possess and offer.

However, it doesn’t mean that marketing professionals and representatives of the enterprise shall no longer be needed. The opposite is true.

While the functions are outsourced, there’s a vital part for the marketing executive to play – they still need to build and keep excellent working relationships with their clientele and consumers.

The good working relationship continue to rests with them mainly because customers still need to visit this company in flesh and blood, despite the convenience of outsourced online services over the internet. The marketing executives, needless to say, still have to supervise the output and progress of the marketing activities that are being outsourced.

Surely, that still must be managed and monitored to ensure the video marketing business receives the best result. Also, they are to generate good working relationship with these external suppliers to ensure that the company’s particular needs are met. As with every business enterprise, success lies in building and maintaining good working relationships with both the customers and the providers.

Video Marketing is a concept which facilitates and encourages people to pass along marketing clips regarding products and services. This could be accomplished through Social Media Marketing, a good approach that will give you links, attention as well as huge amounts of traffic by promoting your Internet site or enterprise via social media channels.

This piece of writing is to highlight five significant rules of thumb to observe to make sure your website performs fine. When it comes to website design, additional attention should be paid to every minute detail to make sure it performs optimally to serve its expected purpose.

The First Important Rule in Website Design: Do not use splash pages

Splash pages normally have a very beautiful image with words like “welcome” or “click here to come in”. They are the initial pages you see when you arrive at a website. In fact, they are just that — pretty vases with no real use. Let them come into your site immediately without the splash page. Do not let your guests have a reason to click on the “back” button!

The Second Important Rule in Website Design: Do not use excessive banner advertisements

Even the least net knowledgeable people have educated themselves to ignore banner advertisements so you will be wasting priceless website real estate. Instead of excessive banner advertisements provide more valuable content and weave relevant affiliate links into your content, and let your visitors feel that they want to buy instead of being pushed to buy.

The Third Important Rule in Website Design: Have a simple and clear navigation

You have to provide a simple and very straightforward navigation menu so that even a young child will know how to use it. Stay away from complicated Flash based menus or multi-tiered dropdown menus. If your visitors don’t know how to navigate, they will leave your site.

The Fourth key Principle in Website Design: Let the user know where he is

When visitors are deeply engrossed in browsing your site, you will want to make sure they know which part of the site they are in at that moment. That way, they will be able to browse relevant information or navigate to any section of the site easily. Don’t confuse your visitors because confusion means to neglect them.

The Fifth key Principle in Website Design: Shun using acoustic on your site

Do you want your visitor to stay a long time at your site, reading your content? Then you will want to make sure they’re not upset by some audio looping on and on on your website. Nevertheless if you require adding audio, make sure they have some control over it — volume or muting controls would work very well.

Visit Abraham Saleh’s php site hosting and web hosting free no ads companies for the best.

by Steven Snell

E-commerce is a booming trend and one that does not appear to be going away anytime soon. More and more people around the world are using the internet to make purchases on everything from music, to home goods, to clothing, to auto parts, and anything else you can think of. The world of e-commerce gives the average person or small business the opportunity to business worldwide and to compete in a way that was never possible before.

In this article we’ll look at the benefits of running an e-commerce website and we’ll list seven of the leading reasons that you should consider starting your own e-commerce site.

1. Low Risk and Expense

If you want to own a traditional brick and mortar store, the costs and risks involved will be very high. Each month you will have expenses related to the rent or mortgage, upkeep of the property, other overhead costs, salaries of employees, inventory, and that is just the beginning. Anytime there are high costs involved in running a business, the risk is also going to be pretty high.

On the opposite end of the spectrum, an e-commerce site can be started with very little money and essentially no risk. You can get a simple site up and running for less than $100 (sure, this won’t give you the best e-commerce site ever, but it is possible to get started on this amount). The risks are not even comparable to those of running a traditional business.

2. No Employees

Just one of the issues that comes along with running a traditional business is managing the employees. This is really a full-time job in itself. Aside from the time aspect, employees also present one of the largest costs and risks for business owners.

If you run an e-commerce business you won’t necessarily need any employees at all. Most small e-commerce businesses could be run just by one person, or with a partner. Depending on the growth of the business and on your goals, you may eventually hire some employees for various jobs, but this is not a necessity to have a successful e-commerce business.

3. 24/7

Traditional stores will have hours of operation, and they’ll be closed at certain times. Some stores are open 24 hours a day, but they also have added costs for doing so.

If you’ve ever wanted to make money while you sleep, e-commerce is one option. There will be no need to close your store and customers will be able to visit your site regardless of the time of day or day of the week.

4. Almost No Barriers to Entry

The barriers to entry with a brick and mortar store are very large. The startup costs will be far more than most people can afford, even with sufficient loans. The competition is also likely to be very stiff.

E-commerce businesses offer an opportunity to the average person that involves very low barriers. It requires only a nominal amount of money to get started, and there are plenty of opportunities to do things on the cheap until your online store is producing some income.

5. Worldwide Market

As a traditional store owner, in order for customers to buy your products they will have to be close enough to your location to come to the physical store. Obviously, this limits your market to those who live or work within driving distance, or those who are traveling through the area.

However, as an e-commerce business owner you can easily do business with people in all corners of the world. Anyone with internet access can shop at your store. Yes, there are some disadvantages including shipping to other parts of the world, but it can be done if the buyer is willing to pay the added shipping, or you can sell electronic products that don’t require shipping.

6. You Don’t Have to Be #1 to Be Successful

For traditional brick and mortar stores, there is always a need to stay ahead of the competition in order to remain profitable and in business. If you can’t be one of the leaders in your industry, you probably cannot survive as a business.

On the other hand, with an e-commerce site you will have very low expenses, so almost everything that you make will be profit. Because of this, you won’t need to have the number 1 site for a specific industry, you can easily survive and remain profitable with just a small piece of the pie.

7. Flexible Hours

Running a traditional business means that you will probably need to be there and working just about every hour that it is open. Store owners usually have a very hectic schedule with long hours each week.

Running an online store is work and does require hours, but generally you can choose those hours as you see fit. If you are not a morning person you won’t have to be working early. You will usually be able to work a schedule that you choose.

by Alex McMillan Boyle

If you want your website to work well with search engines, then you must ensure that your web designer knows about how search engines work and knows how he should write your site so as to ensure it ranks as well as possible over time.

A business website should act as another member of its sales team, bringing in leads to your business to then be converted into sales. The job of a website is to appear in the path of traffic that are looking for the services your company provides and to then convert that traffic into a sale, an enquiry or at least a sign up to the newsletter.

List building is an important sales aspect, but the main purpose of your site is to sell your company’s product or service. The primary call to action on your site is to do exactly that, sell what you sell. However if the lead decides not to buy what you want to sell them, you should then ask them to sign up to your newsletter.

Basic web design is also very important. So often we see sites that look visually fantastic, but due to being designed as one piece of flash, are totally unsuitable to be optimized. Effective search engine optimization relies upon many on page factors being present. The basics of the search engines operation depends upon the search engine being able to read your page. A search engine can only read the words that you place on the page, if you want to rank for Fish tank but the words do not appear anywhere on your page, how can you expect a computer to know that is what you wish to rank for?

There are over 100 on-page factors that search engines look at to determine what keywords to rank you for and each factor adds extra weight to how dedicated your site is to that keyword. Badly made sites are diluted with many keywords only written once, and so search engines often do not rank them well. Site building software like Joomla is usually very limited in what you can tweak to make your site readable to a search engine.

If you are serious about getting to the top of a search engine ranking to get the most from your site, then it is important to do some research of your own into SEO first before you commit to paying thousands of pounds for a website to ensure that you dont end up with something that will never perform well in search engines.

A lot of web designers are still fairly ignorant to SEO and so continue to design and deliver websites that are never going to make anyone any money.
